Reagan and the seed of intolerance.

Evolution "is a scientific theory only, and it has in recent years been challenged in the world of science and is not yet believed in the scientific community to be as infallible as it was once believed."* --Ronald Reagan

Reagan:

Believed in biblical Armageddon.

Consulted with Jerry Falwell.

Based his days on astrology and superstition.

He fell asleep during a meeting with the Pope.

Quoted as saying that AIDS was brought by God over gay sex.

One hundred forty members of his administration indicted or convincted on various and sundry charges. And yet his followers claim that the Clinton Administration was corrupt.

Claiming victory in the Cold War when it was Gorbachev who was really responsible.

"Reagan sold arms to Iran under the table for money. Claimed it never happened. Came clean to say it did happen. Called his previous statements erroneous. Finally said “My answer therefore and the simple truth is, I don't remember, period." "Clinton got impeached for lying about a blowjob. Reagan is a great President for lying about selling arms to a terrorist nation for personal profit of his government".

And my personal favorite, the rise of the Religious Reich.

Thank you Mr. President.

The rise of the Religious Reich is not solely an American trend. Anybody notice that Stephen Harper is leading the most recent polls. Not that I have anything against the man personally, but I can't help but cringe at the thought of my country, "the land of the free", being run by people who make social policy by asking, "what would Jesus do?"

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3, ah fuck it!

To blog, or not to blog. What a stupid question!
